Two independent promoters, Bris-Tek and Industrial Project, are linking up to bring DnB, grime, UK bass, and dubstep artists to The Underground in Bristol on Friday 27th September 2024. Enlisting some brilliant names for this big rave, they’ll be donating the profits to local charity Empire Fighting Chance. Get your free tickets here or if you can't/didn't make it, you can donate to this amazing charity via this link.
Born on Bristol’s streets, Empire Fighting Chance is an award-winning sport for development charity with inspiring coaches, therapists, and mentors. Starting in 2006, the charity has changed the lives of young people aged 8 to 24 through boxing and psychology, helping them to build a better future while improving their mental health, strengthening their relationships, and reducing destructive behaviour.
They are also sending down a team of their young volunteers headed by a small team of their staff that are trained in therapy and the welfare of young adults. They also have support from SARSAS who are a sexual assault charity and will be setting up an info stand on the night. Bristol City Council also have the Night Time Safety Team providing loads of information and training for their anti-spiking campaign for our volunteers on the night and they are also providing anti-spiking kits and posters for the public to learn from. And finally, there will be support from Ask for Angela who will be providing information and training for the staff regarding the national scheme that helps anyone who is feeling vulnerable on a night out to get the support they need.
On the night and taking over The Underground, where SOS hosted the Up Ya Archives event in April is located right in the city centre beneath Galleries shopping centre and will have two rooms - Loading Bays and Beer Factory - taken over for music, laughs, and good times.
Loading Bays will be all about drum and bass. My Nu Leng (DnB set), DLR, Hydro, Kublai, Audiomission B2B Rua Tui, and Artemis make up the DJ lineup for that room. They'll be joined by MCs Jakes, Carasel, Gusto, and Trafic.
Then, over in Beer Factory (named after the Bristol brewery), it’ll be all about grime, UK bass, and dubstep. Featuring performances from Slimzee, Kahn, Sir Hiss, Slowie (live PA) with Lotu, GLM, and more with MCs SGT Pokes and Lines, it’s sure to hit hard.
Supporting a wonderful local charity while raving to some of the best underground talent from multiple genres with 2,699 other passionate music fans sounds like a dream. If you want in, secure your tickets now.
