Number 90, Hackney Wick transforms its Hideout space
Number 90, a beating heart of Hackney Wick, has long since established itself as one of the jewels in the crown of the London clubbing landscape.
The canalside spot last year transformed into the three separate venues, Number 90 Bar, Number 90 Live and Number 90 Hideout, each space hosting an eclectic array of events, cutting-edge music showcases, immersive art exhibitions and independent events.
The venue has always thrived on change, and now, it steps into a new era. Disrupting the essence of a familiar Hackney Wick clubbing den Number 90 Hideout has now been meticulously reimagined into an audiophile’s dream.
The tireless work gone into it has seen the space stripped back to its core, totally rebuilt with wooden paneling and acoustic treatments to deliver unparalleled sound. At the heart of the room, a newly designed DJ booth sits in the center, complemented by bespoke lighting, 360 projection mapping and the venue’s signature D&B sound system, ensuring an immersive experience throughout. Underfoot, a brand-new wooden floor completes the foundation of this bold new upgrade.
To celebrate Number 90 Hideout’s transformation the team are hosting a grand opening on Thursday April 3rd, the industry event will feature an evening of expertly curated music, craft cocktails, and light bites. Performances from Giles Smith, Jive Talk, and a special guest headliner from Ninja Tune, unveiling a space designed for pure sonic bliss.
“We didn’t just renovate a venue, we built an experience. Every panel, every angle, every speaker was positioned for optimal sound. Whether you’re a DJ, a performer, or just here for the atmosphere, Hideout will change the way you hear music and experience events” – Bruno Cabral, co-founder Number 90
“25 years active in the scene now, it’s still small to medium sized underground clubs that inspire and excite me the most as both an artist and as a dancer. I am extremely proud to have been approached to be involved in Number 90 Hideout, as a resident DJ and bringing my Giles Smith & Friends nights onboard. Within seconds of seeing the venue I said “yes”. The space is quite simply stunning and will no doubt become one of the best clubs of its type in the capital and surely beyond.” - Giles Smith; legendary London soul, house and electronic producer/DJ.
